UPF 50+ Fabric Information

AS Colour Tees — UPF Rating & Certification

✔ AS Colour tees are rated UPF 50+
This is the highest category under the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4399, which is the official testing method for UV‑protective clothing. This standard measures how much UV radiation passes through the fabric. A UPF 50+ rating means the material blocks 98% or more of UV rays.

✔ Testing is done to AS/NZS 4399 (the official standard)
The AS/NZS 4399 standard is the recognised method for determining UPF ratings for textiles in Australia and New Zealand. It assesses the fabric in its new, dry, unstretched condition.

✔ ARPANSA (Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency)
ARPANSA manages the UPF Certification Scheme and issues the official UPF swing tags used by many Australian brands. They confirm that UPF is a measure of how effective a material is at blocking UV radiation.
